Terms of Service

By accessing or using YayTip ("Service"), operated at yaytip.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

YayTip is a cryptocurrency tipping platform that enables users to send and receive tips in 60+ cryptocurrencies. Key features include:

• Sending tips to anyone via their tip page link
• Tipping by identity (email, GitHub username, X handle, EVM address, Mixin ID) — even if the recipient has not signed up
• Receiving tips and settling them to a configured cryptocurrency wallet

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use YayTip. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

You may create an account using supported authentication providers (GitHub, Google, X, Mixin, email, or EVM wallet). You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Ensuring that linked identities belong to you
• Providing accurate wallet addresses for settlement

Identities may be auto-created when someone sends a tip to an unclaimed identity. You may claim these identities by authenticating with the corresponding provider.

YayTip charges a platform fee on each tip received. The current fee rate is displayed on the platform (default 8%). Payment processing is handled by MixPay. By using the Service, you acknowledge:

• The platform fee is deducted from each tip before settlement
• Settlement is processed asynchronously and may take time to complete
• Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible once settled
• Exchange rates fluctuate and the final settled amount may differ from the original tip value
• Network fees may apply depending on the settlement chain

When a tip is sent to an unclaimed identity, funds are custodied by YayTip (via MixPay) until the recipient claims their identity and configures a settlement wallet. YayTip is not a bank or financial institution. Custodied funds are held on a best-effort basis. You should claim and settle tips promptly.

You agree not to use YayTip to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or sanctions requirement
• Engage in money laundering, terrorist financing, or fraud
• Send tips using stolen funds or compromised accounts
• Impersonate others or claim identities that do not belong to you
• Abuse the platform through automated scripts, bots, or spam
• Attempt to circumvent fees, exploit bugs, or manipulate the platform
• Use the Service from jurisdictions where cryptocurrency transactions are prohibited

All content, branding, and code of YayTip are owned by YayTip or its licensors. You retain ownership of any content you upload (such as profile avatars). By uploading content, you grant YayTip a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display it in connection with the Service.

YayTip integrates with third-party services including MixPay (payment processing), Mixin Network (settlement), and various OAuth providers (authentication). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. YayTip is not responsible for the availability, security, or actions of third-party services.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. YAYTIP DOES NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Any particular cryptocurrency value will be maintained
• Settlement will occur within any specific timeframe
• Funds custodied for unclaimed identities will be available indefinitely

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YAYTIP AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF FUNDS, DATA, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT OF FEES COLLECTED FROM YOUR ACCOUNT IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

You acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of cryptocurrency, including but not limited to:

• Price volatility and potential total loss of value
• Irreversibility of blockchain transactions
• Risk of sending to incorrect wallet addresses
• Regulatory changes that may affect the Service
• Smart contract and protocol-level risks

We may suspend or terminate your access to YayTip at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, we will make reasonable efforts to allow you to settle any outstanding tips, but we are not obligated to custody funds indefinitely.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration.
